Who are we?
We are Hands & Hearts for Christ Mission Group. A small group of individuals that have been traveling to Central America for many years to provide Medical/Surgical/Dental care. Our small group of members are all from WV as well. We go yearly to Central America and provide surgical and dental care at no cost to those we serve. We must personally raise the funds to cover our travel, equipment, medications, expenses to get the people we serve from the villages to the hospital we work, supplies that we take with us, and any other expenses that may arise for us to accomplish our mission. This year we each had to raise $2500 each, not including additional funds for needed equipment. We recently returned on March 19th from Guatemala where we completed 77 surgeries and 130 Dental procedures in less than a week with our small group of less than 50 people. Our surgeries primarily consist of cholecystectomies (gallbladders) and various hernia repairs but can be others depending on the need and our available supplies. Not to mention what our dental team accomplishes. It was a blessing to all involved and can’t wait to return in 2024 to do it all again!
