All submitted abstracts will be anonymously reviewed and the selected abstracts will be intimated to the corresponding authors for further submission of the complete manuscript (limited to 12 pages including figures and tables) within the deadline. All accepted, registered and presented full papers will be published in IOP - Material Science and Engineering as conference proceedings which is a Scopus-indexed Open Access publication series. However, this is based on the peer-review comments, consent from the authors and payment of publication fees. The authors are responsible for preparing the manuscript according to the journal guidelines for possible publication.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT), established in the year 1996 by Bannari Amman Groups, with a sprawling campus of 180 acres with a built-up space of more than 20 lakh square feet. Shri. S.V. Balasubramanian, Chairman of the Bannari Amman Group, a leading corporate house in South India, Coimbatore with a vision to uplift rural areas by imparting technical education of global standard to the rural people. BIT is an AICTE approved, self-financing autonomous Engineering College affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is a vibrant institute, situated in serene surroundings near the banks of River Bhavani at the foot hills of Nilgiris, Sathyamangalam Erode-Dt, Tamil Nadu. The Institute offers MCA, MBA, five year integrated MSc software engineering, 13 UG and 15 PG programs in Engineering and research programs Ph.D/MS. It has many laurels to its credit such as accreditation by NAAC with A grade for five years, NBA accredited courses, Best Engineering college award by ISTE, New Delhi, Mindlogicx Infratec Ltd Silver medal award for the best institute-industry linked engineering college instituted by AICTE-CII for the year 2012. The Institute caters to the needs of the students and members of faculty in realizing their dreams and aspirations.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2001 and presently it offers under graduate Programme in Civil Engineering and post graduate Programme in Structural Engineering. The Department has qualified faculty members with excellent academic records. The Department is equipped with excellent laboratory facilities since its inception. A separate CADD lab is available with Software Packages such as Auto CAD 3D, 3DS Max, Rivet Architecture, STADD Pro, QE Pro, Struts, ANSYS, ABAQUS and SAP 2000. The department undertakes a wide range of consultancy services related to the preparation of topographic maps using total stations, design of multi storeyed buildings, determination of bearing capacity of soil, testing of building materials etc. The department has conducted an International Conference, few National Conferences and many Faculty Development Programmes. It has been recognized by Anna University as a research center for conducting Ph.D. Programme. The department has undertaken research projects sponsored by AICTE, DST, SERB, TNSCST etc.
