This special virtual event, "Lessons from the Past, Present, and Future: AI and Learning," will bring together Elders and Knowledge Holders from the University College of the North in The Pas, Manitoba, and Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand.

Supported by Humber Polytechnic and the Indigenous Education & Engagement team, the event aims to foster a meaningful cross-cultural dialogue on AI and learning, rooted in the exchange of diverse perspectives and Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing, Relating, and Doing.

The perspectives shared by Elders and Knowledge Holders not only guides our present journey with Artificial Intelligence but also sets an example for collaborative learning and understanding across Turtle Island, Aotearoa and beyond.

We are honoured to be joined by Elder Margaret Head-Steppan/White Bear Woman Council of Elders, University College of the North for this event.
