Each year CFUW Ontario Council Members come together for an Annual General Meeting and Conference. The event spans a day and a half and is made up of  workshops, speakers, business (e.g. resolutions, finance reports, etc.), networking and fun.

Join us in Windsor as we explore the theme of W/E Break Barriers. W/E = Windsor-Essex. The Windsor-Essex region is the most southerly portion of Ontario. It consists of the City of Windsor, the Municipality of Leamington, the Towns of Amherstberg, Essex, Kingsville, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Tecumseh, and the Township of Pelee, as well as the western portion of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

W/E Break Barriers will highlight how women in Windsor-Essex are confronting and overcoming gender based impediments to enrich their lives and our community as a whole.

Join us in Windsor on May 24th and 25th, 2024 for some fun, some fellowship and some business as we celebrate CFUW OC members and plan for our future.

WIFF: 20 Years of Success Rooted in Governance & Strategy
Film Festivals in North America have the disheartening average lifespan of 2 years.
Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2024.
Strong governance, a firm focus on Vision, Mission and Values, and an unwavering commitment to programming excellence are at the root of the organization's success. Looking at programming successes such as Women of WIFF in addition to a quality-focused program that sees the large participation of women filmmakers and films about the lives of women, WIFF is focused on the next 20 years.

Pat Papadeas is Vice-Chair of the Board of WIFF. Her leadership and commitment to her community have been well-established via her track record serving on the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA) Board, and her decades long record of civic and political engagement including the very popular political podcast Rose City Politics. Currently a Senior Administrator at St. Clair College, Pat holds degrees in Philosophy (Western) and Law (Windsor).

Vincent Georgie is Executive Director and Chief Programmer of WIFF. An authority on the marketing of the film industry, he has extensively contributed to local, national and international media on the topic. Vincent has had the pleasure of attending the Oscars, in addition to the Cannes, Telluride and Toronto Film Festivals. Joining the University of Windsor in 2009, he has enjoyed many Senior leadership roles in addition to his professorship. Vincent holds a PhD in Marketing (HEC Montreal).
