This year, with counsel from Sibley’s medical leadership and in response to the needs of our community and the patients Sibley serves, we have chosen the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital as the beneficiary of the 2024 Sibley Soiree. With your generosity, we can provide expanded access to care to everyone in our community regardless of their financial security.

Sibley has developed a multi-faceted approach to address healthcare disparities in our community, and philanthropy plays a key role in supporting this access. As a Board we are often struck by the idea that a cancer diagnosis alone is a daunting burden. Navigating a diagnosis along with looming concerns around drug costs, transportation to appointments and nutritious and energizing food options during treatment is something nobody should face alone.

The Kimmel Cancer Center cares for more than 1,500 patients with cancer annually. Nobody is prepared for a cancer diagnosis, but as a community we can ensure that patients with cancer can focus on getting better without worries about the financial burden of care.

Thank you for joining us in our mission to bring the expertise of Johns Hopkins medicine to everyone in the Sibley community. We look forward to seeing you on October 24th at the National Portrait Gallery!
