Join the many Northwest tribal housing staff, advocates, and other organizations on Tuesday, January 14, through Thursday, January 16, for our Winter Conference by registering for either in-person attendance or virtual Zoom attendance. Both housing Staff and BOC/Council members are sure to benefit from this special event.

In addition to our regular business meeting Tuesday morning, we will be having a peer group discussion where you can open topics you want to share with your fellow housing professionals. Throughout the day Tuesday, we will be having three informative presentations. These will include a session from the Luak Group that will highlight and model our ongoing development of a series of Executive Director/Director training modules and certification program, a presentation from NWIHA Associate Member United Indians of All Tribes Foundation on a large Native housing development project in Seattle, WA, and a presentation from Enterprise Community Partners who will be sharing information on the HUD Section 4 Grant opportunity along with other resources Enterprise offers to tribal housing professionals. This will all be in addition to an afternoon update presentation from the NwONAP staff.

The Tuesday evening banquet will include our Annual Auction, hosted by former NWIHA Executive Director and trained auctioneer Joe Diehl. All proceeds from the Auction will go to NWIHA's Brook Kristovich Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Finally, this meeting's training will be featuring 1 1/2 days devoted to anti-discrimination laws and requirements in Indian housing programs. Attorney Dave Heisterkamp of Wagenlader & Heisterkamp, LLC, will be leading a training on fair treatment in provision of housing services that you won't want to miss. We encourage program directors, project managers, and all other appropriate staff to attend.

For those unable to attend in person or virtually through Zoom registration, please consider designating a proxy for establishing a Quorum at the Business Meeting or voting on your behalf. Proxy forms are available for download linked at the top of this page: complete the form and email to [email protected] prior to January 14, 2025.
