Best Practices for Comfort Advisors
Free training and hot breakfast presented by the Minnesota Air Source Heat Pump Collaborative
While federal heat pump incentives have changed in 2026, homeowner priorities remain the same. They’re still looking for ways to lower energy bills, improve efficiency, and find contractors they can trust for the long term. This training is designed to help you successfully meet customers where they’re at by strengthening your sales and technical skills.

Our heat pump experts have updated this year’s training with market research, new incentives guidance, and best practices so you can deliver high-quality heat pump installations with confidence.

This year, you can gain Energy Skilled Recognition for Heat Pump Comfort Advising to boost your business’ profile and visibility on Google. In addition, earn continuing education credits towards NATE certification.

This event satisfies the training requirement for the MN ASHP Collaborative Preferred Contractor Network, a lead generation tool that helps connect contractors connect with customers and secure ongoing marketing support. The staff member who would like to be listed on our webpage should attend.

Can’t make it this time? We're traveling all over the state in 2026, and there are many more opportunities. Check out our schedule here: https://www.mnashp.org/training-events!

Meet the Programs
The Minnesota Air Source Heat Pump Collaborative (the Collaborative) is a statewide program that strives to establish heat pumps as the preferred option for both customers and contractors when upgrading their heating and cooling systems, offering an efficient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional air conditioners.

The Collaborative is funded through Minnesota's Efficient Technology Accelerator (ETA) a partnership funded by the state’s investor-owned utilities (IOUs), administered by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources (DER), and implemented by Center for Energy and Environment (CEE). The Collaborative is also funded by several consumer-owned electric utilities, including Great River Energy, Missouri River Energy Services, and Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency.

This project was made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
Thank you to our local utility partners for supporting these events.
