Speakers
This year, we are excited to welcome two distinguished keynote speakers who bring deep expertise and insight to issues shaping our industry:
DR. PAUL P.H. WILSON
Grainger Professor of Nuclear Engineering & Chair, DepARTMENT of Nuclear Engineering & Engineering Physics, University of Wisconsin-Madison
His research interests bring together technical and policy issues: analysis methods of isotopic inventories in nuclear systems and the implications on nuclear non-proliferation policy, and the development of next generation nuclear power systems to fulfill a role in future energy policy and needs. Paul joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an assistant professor in August 2001 as part of the Energy Systems and Policy Hiring Initiative. Paul currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Wisconsin Energy Institute and the Steering Committee of the Holtz Center for Science and Technology Studies.
JIM ROBB
President and CEO,
North American Electric
Reliability Corporation (NERC)
James (Jim) B. Robb assumed the role of NERC’s president and CEO in April 2018. Robb oversees NERC’s mission of assuring the reliability and security of the North American bulk power system. As president and CEO, Robb leads the Electric Reliability Organization (ERO) responsible for key programs, including those programs focused on development of mandatory NERC Reliability Standards, the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program, situational awareness, event and risk analysis, reliability assessments and forecasting, and cyber and physical security, affecting approximately 1,400 bulk power system users, owners, and operators. He is also responsible for the performance of the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) and key government partnerships.
