Join us for an intimate afternoon celebrating the past, present and future of whisky distilling in Perthshire.
Whisky writer and industry legend Dave Broom will be joined by whisky expert Arthur Motley and Niel Hendrikz of Aberargie Distillery for a fascinating conversation exploring Perthshire’s rich distilling heritage, the evolution of the region’s whisky industry and the story behind Aberargie Distillery.
Guests will hear first-hand how Aberargie is bringing whisky production back to the Morrison family’s historic Perthshire roots, with insights into the distillery’s approach to provenance, barley varieties and creating a distinctive new single malt.

Dave Broom and Arthur Motley will also lead an insightful Q&A exploring the rise and fall of the Perthshire distilling industry, based on thorough and original research. Discover the people, places and events that shaped Perthshire’s whisky heritage, and explore the story behind the region’s changing distilling landscape.
The conversation will be followed by an exclusive guided tasting of Aberargie’s highly anticipated expressions ahead of their official launch on 15 September. Guests will have the rare opportunity to taste Aberargie Golden Promise and Aberargie Laureate side by side, discovering how the choice of barley influences the whisky's flavour and character.

ITINERARY
4pm – Guest arrival: Enjoy a welcome highball accompanied by a selection of canapés.
4.20pm – The Aberargie story: A brief introduction from Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers to Aberargie Distillery, its Perthshire heritage and the vision behind its single malt.
4.30pm – Fireside Q&A Dave Broom, Arthur Motley and Niel Hendrikz of Aberargie Distillery delve into the history of distilling in Perthshire and discuss Aberargie’s journey from barley to bottle.
5pm – Guided whisky tasting of Aberargie Golden Promise, Aberargie Laureate, Old Perth 12 Year Old and two Perthshire whiskies.
