Dr. Yip is a public health physician and has a great passion for virology.  She has been working in the Public Health Laboratory Services Branch for 10 years prior to joining the Special Preventive Programme of the Department of Health in 2023.  She is currently the Senior Medical & Health Officer of the Special Preventive Programme overseeing the HIV surveillance team and the Red Ribbon Centre.
 
Mr. Jerome Yau


Mr. Jerome Yau has years of experience in executive and non-executive roles in the voluntary, non-profit, education and public sectors. Involved in LGBT+ advocacy for more than a decade, including as co-founder of Hong Kong Marriage Equality. He is passionate about building bridges and connecting communities through positive advocacy.

Prior to joining AIDS Concern as Chief Executive in 2023, he once served on the organization’s Board of Directors for six years. He has a strong commitment to providing evidence-based services and care so as to enhance the wellbeing and health outcomes of the individuals.
Prof. Suen Yiu Tung - Keynote Speaker 

Professor Suen is Associate Professor of Gender Studies, and of Public Health and Primary Care (by courtesy), at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received the Young Researcher Award (2020) of the CUHK, and Exemplary Teaching Award in the Faculty of Social Sciences (2022) of the CUHK, in recognition of excellence in research as well as teaching.

He is a leading researcher in Asia who researches the impact of sexual orientation and gender identity related laws and policies (and the lack thereof) on the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other sexual and gender minorities (LGBT+) people themselves, the organisations they work in, as well as the societies they live in. Outside academia, he has been a consultant and written reports for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), and advised the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for their research. Locally, he led the largest-scale research in Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission’s history of commissioned research. He is Adviser and Past Vice-Chairperson of AIDS Concern Hong Kong. Moreover, he has been interviewed by international media outlets such as the AFP, BBC, Bloomberg, Financial Times, New York Times, Reuters, and Washington Post for his research.
Dr. Sean Cahill - Keynote Speaker 

Dr. Sean Cahill, PhD is Director of Health Policy Research at the Fenway Institute, Affiliate Associate Clinical Professor of Health Sciences at Northeastern University, and Adjunct Associate Professor of the Practice in Health Law, Policy and Management at Boston University School of Public Health. Cahill serves on the Massachusetts Special Legislative Commission on LGBT Aging, and is Associate Editor at LGBT Health.

He is lead author of “Sexual and Gender Minority Health in the COVID-19 Pandemic: Why Data Collection and Combatting Discrimination Matter Now More than Ever,” American Journal of Public Health (September 2020).


Mr. Matthew Vaughan - Keynote Speaker


Matthew Vaughan is the Director for HIV Sexual Health and ACON’s Principal Campaign Planner, where he leads the strategy and development of the multi award-winning campaign Ending HIV, which seeks to end HIV transmissions in NSW.

Matthew has been working within the community services sector for the past 15 years working in a variety of roles within government, non-government and community-based organisations at state, national and international levels. Matthew has a love of technology and digital media, and specialises in how that passion can be used to build effective behaviour change interventions.
Ms. Neda Ng

Neda is the Programme Director of AIDS Concern, where she leads the development of sexual health programs for targeted communities. With 16 years of experience in health promotion and public affairs in both NGO and commercial sectors, Neda has a strong commitment in advancing community health services innovation in our city.  She is passionate about health communication, sexuality education and community development. She is currently a postgraduate candidate in Global Health Policy at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Victoria Tittle


Dr. Victoria Tittle is a sexual health physician and currently working as consultant at 56 Dean Street, London UK in HIV/GU medicine. She previously completed MSc in Public Health at LSTHM and worked with WHO in their Western Pacific Regional Office on HIV surveillance.
Dr. Winston Goh


Dr. Winston Goh is a Family Physician who obtained his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong and did some overseas training in the United Kingdom as well as the US. He moved back to Hong Kong in 2015 with his husband. At OT&P, Dr Goh has experienced warmth and acceptance, where the focus has never been his sexual orientation. He has always been treated the same way as everyone else at the clinic.

Dr. Goh has a particular interest in healthcare education for the LGBTQ+ community. In San Francisco, he volunteered at the API Wellness Center from 2010 to 2015, caring for homeless transgender and cisgender patients with HIV who have no access to traditional healthcare.


In Hong Kong, Dr Goh also formed the Hong Kong LGBT Medical Society, with the mission to promote gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT+) healthcare and education in Hong Kong. Additionally, the society hopes to encourage LGBT+ diversity and inclusion and ensure that LGBT+ medical professionals in Hong Kong can bring their authentic selves to work.


Prof. Travis S K Kong

Prof. Travis Kong is the Chairperson of AIDS Concern and the Founder of Grey & Pride (previously Gay & Grey, 2014-), the only NGO that serves and looks after the well-being of older LGBT+ in Hong Kong.
Prof. Travis Kong received his PhD in sociology from the University of Essex with a specialisation in identity, sexuality and masculinity. He commits myself as a sociologist who critically engages with contemporary Western theories in understanding notions of identity, masculinity, the body and intimacy in modern Chinese communities in the context of global cultures. He seek dialogues within sociology (e.g., criminology, media and cultural studies, and gender and sexuality studies) and across disciplines (e.g., medical sciences, anthropology, post-colonialism and feminism) in order to yield better understandings of Chinese sexuality.

He mainly teaches gender and sexuality studies as well as media and cultural studies. Travis' research specializes in Chinese homosexuality and masculinity, commercial sex in Hong Kong and China, social impacts of HIV/AIDS, and transnational Chinese sexuality.
Dr. Wilson Lam

Dr. Wilson Lam received his undergraduate medical degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998 and obtained membership from the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK) in 2002 and fellowship from the Hong Kong College of Physicians and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine with dual accreditation in Advanced Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease in 2006. He also obtained fellowship from the Royal College of Physician of Edinburg in 2018.

Dr. Lam received training for Infectious Diseases and HIV Medicine at the Division of HIV/AIDS at San Francisco General Hospital in 2009-10.

Dr. Lam has been a clinician at the HIV Clinical Service of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong since 2002. He is currently Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of the LKS Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong. He was Honorary Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2017 to 2021 and the Program Director of the Specialty Board in Infectious Diseases of the Hong Kong College of Physicians from 2015 to 2019. He was also a Principal Investigator of the TREAT Asia from 2010 to 2019.

He is serving on the councils of Hong Kong Society for HIV Medicine and the Hong Kong Society for Infectious Diseases. He has been an Executive Board Member of the Hong Kong AIDS Foundation since 2018.
Dr. Alfred Sit

Dr. Sit has been with the Special Preventive Programme, Department of Health since 2015 and worked in the HIV surveillance team and the Red Ribbon Centre respectively.

During his post in the Red Ribbon Centre, he was responsible for multiple survey and promotion projects, including HIV Prevalence and Risk behaviour survey of Men who have sex with men (PRiSM), Gay men’s mental health and sexual health survey and HIV self-test feasibility study.
Dr. Ho King Man

Dr. Ho King-man graduated from HKU in 1986. In 1992, he joined the Social Hygiene Service (SHS) of the Department of Health (DH), the major public service provider for sexually transmitted infection (STI) and dermatology in HK. From May 1999 to September 2002, he was seconded to the Special Preventive Programmes (SPP) of DH, the Government Service for HIV/AIDS prevention and care in HK. In 1999, the Kowloon Bay Integrated Treatment Centre (KBITC) was introduced by DH to provide clinical service to people living HIV/AIDS. Dr Ho had engaged in the staff team of KBITC and SPP to smoothly introduce the service during that period of turmoil. After settling this event, he started to coordinate and orchestrate the planning and introduction of the territory wide universal antenatal HIV testing programme that was eventually introduced in September 2001.

In different period of times, he was appointed secretary/member of the Scientific Committee on AIDS and STI (SCAS). During these appointments, apart from HIV/AIDS, he also put up various STI related issues on the agenda of SCAS including HPV vaccination programme.

He was appointed the Consultant Dermatologist of SHS in 2009, then assumed Service Head in 2010 till October 2021 when he started his retirement from the Civil Service. For more than 20 years, he has been actively supporting various STI/HIV prevention projects, researches and capacity building activities.
Ms. Rena Janamnuaysook


Rena is a Thai transgender woman and an advocate for the rights to health of transgender people and other key populations. She has extensive local, national and international backgrounds in working with HIV and AIDS service and research organizations.

When working with Pact and Population Services International, she provided technical expertise to community-based organizations, non-government organizations and other civil societies working with transgender people, men who have sex with men, sex workers and people living with HIV around organizational capacity development, social marketing, stigma and discrimination reduction, and project management.

She has experience working with the Global Action for Trans Equality (GATE) as HIV policy officer, where my main responsibilities were focused on HIV policy and advocacy related to transgender populations. She coordinated with governmental officials, UN families, international organizations, and global/regional HIV and other key population networks.

Currently, Rena work as a program manager for implementation science at the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI) formerly known as Prevention, Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre. Her roles are to provide management and technical support to transgender program and research conducted at the Tangerine Community Health Clinic, the first transgender sexual health clinic in the region. She co-founded the Thai Transgender Alliance, the first transgender-led network, which promotes human rights of transgender people in Thailand.
Dr. Gordon Wong


Dr. Gordon Wong spent his formative years in the United Kingdom. He then studied in the medical school at the University of Hong Kong, and subsequently obtained a Masters degree in Counselling Studies. He has over fifteen years experience in treating a spectrum of mental health issues of all ages. Dr. Wong is interested in psychotherapies (talking therapies). He received training in cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and hypnotherapy.

Communicating with others is a priority of Dr. Wong. Hence he has a keen interest in learning languages, including Spanish, German and Japanese. Dr. Wong believes that people are all equal and deserves the same respect, love and care. He strives to provide a safe and supportive environment for healing and optimising your mind.
Dr. Zephyrus Tsang


Dr. Tsang Ling Yin, Zephyrus (he/him) is a transgender gay male based in Hong Kong. He is the co-founder and vice chairperson of Quarks, the first and by far the only organization targeting transgender youth in Hong Kong. He shares the same goals with Quarks, to build a community for his peers, and promote gender diversity and inclusion. Zephyrus is also a doctor, and part of the steering committee of the Hong Kong LGBT Medical Society.
Mr. Leow Yangfa

Leow Yangfa is the Executive Director of Oogachaga, Singapore’s most established, community-based, non-profit professional organisation working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer and gender-diverse (LGBTQ+) individuals, couples and families, founded in 1999.

As a registered social worker, Yangfa has professional experience working in Singapore’s non-profit sector, in social service planning, development and evaluation (in National Council of Social Service from 1999 to 2005), suicide prevention, intervention and training (in Samaritans of Singapore from 2005 to 2013), and working with the LGBTQ+ community (in Oogachaga since 2013). His current role includes providing professional counselling for clients, volunteer management, community and corporate engagement, fund-raising, media relations and delivering professional workshops.

He is a registered member of Singapore’s Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB), with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work (National University of Singapore) and Bachelor’s Degree in Social Policy (Royal Holloway, University of London). He is also a member of Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) and life member of Action for AIDS Singapore (AFA)

Mr. KL Lee


As the Programme Manager of AIDS Concern,  Mr. Lee has worked in the frontline of various scope, from youth education projects that provide sex education among young people, to support services of People Living with HIV (PLHIV). His current work mainly focuses on prevention programmes among the MSM (Men who Have Sex with Men) community. 

He is also in charge of AIDS Concern's Social Enterprise Project, My PrEP, that provides PrEP health check-up, prescription and education to service users.


Ms. Fern Ngai

Ms. Fern Ngai is a seasoned leader & changemaker with solid experience in both the non-profit & private sectors in Asia. Over her career, she has had the opportunity to lead major change initiatives and built expertise in responsible and strategic leadership, diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI), talent development & cultural change.

These days, Fern dedicates her time volunteering as chair of the board of KELY Support Group, a Hong Kong charity dedicated to supporting young people, & serve as a board member of charities AIDS Concern & Beyond Vision Int'l. she also advises several NGO’s working on causes related to inequality and DEI, and mentor a number of talented young leaders. To keep connected with the business community, Fern chairs a chapter of the Executives Global Network (EGN).

Originally from Canada, Fern has 40+ years of broad experience in financial services, technology, change management, & in workplace diversity & community programmes. She held executive roles in the HR, technology & operations, governance, strategy, & corporate affairs functions at Standard Chartered Bank and was the bank’s first D&I champion for Hong Kong.
Mr. Marc Rubinstein

Mr. Marc Rubinstein is the General Counsel and a Managing Director of an Asia-based global investor and for four years wrote a food column titled “hungry lawyer”. He co-founded the Hong Kong LGBT+ Attorneys Network and has lived in the U.S., Korea and Japan in addition to his almost 20 years in Hong Kong.
Mr. Alfred Ip 

A qualified solicitor in Hong Kong since 2000, Alfred is skilled in helping individuals and their families manage personal and wealth-related matters, including trust and probate (both contentious and non-contentious), family and mental capacity issues. He was also admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2002.

Alfred is appointed by Court as an administrator in estate disputes and advises professional administrators on legal aspects of estate administration, both in Hong Kong and internationally. Alfred’s professional skills are enhanced by his membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“TEP”), and of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a CEDR accredited Mediator and a Notary Public. His practice is recognized by all major legal publications including the Legal500, Chambers and Partners, Private Client Global Elite, Benchmark Litigation, Who’s Who Legal, Doyle’s Guide and Citywealth.

He is also familiar with legal issues surrounding the LGBT community and marriage equality, and acts for both husband and wife in family issues: from divorce to children matters, from pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements to adoption.

In March 2017, Alfred was appointed to sit as a Deputy District Judge.
Mr. Adam Hugill

Adam initially qualified in London in 2004, then moved to Hong Kong in 2008 to join a leading local firm and qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong shortly afterwards. He joined an international firm in 2012 and was promoted to co-head the Hong Kong employment law practice, acting regularly for major global corporations and financial institutions. In 2014, Adam returned to a leading local firm where he was able to offer a broader selection of services to both individuals and to the business community.

Adam acts for both employers and employees in connection with a wide range of issues. These include: employee transfers and team moves; corporate transaction support; large-scale and cross-border terminations; protection of trade secrets and confidential information; compensation and benefits; employment of contingent workers and independent contractors; data privacy; shareholder disputes; discrimination; and business immigration. He is also skilled at advising senior executives on termination, including guidance on discretionary bonus and deferred compensation entitlements and negotiating exit agreements.

Adam has been recognised as a leading lawyer in the area of Hong Kong Employment law by Chambers Asia every year since 2011.
Mr. Gordon Chan

Gordon is the Senior Vice President – Legal, Asia Pacific for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. He oversees all legal matters across hotel operations and advises on new development projects in the region. Gordon also leads Hyatt’s Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council Asia Pacific Committee, and is one of the HyPride Diversity Business Resource Group (for LGBTQ+ colleagues and alliances) Co-Founders for Asia Pacific.

Academic-wise and before studying law, Gordon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia, Canada, Prior to joining Hyatt Hotels and Resorts as its in-house counsel based in their Hong Kong office, Gordon was in private practice with a major law firm in Hong Kong. He worked in London (UK) and Beijing (China) offices of his previous firms. Gordon continues to actively encourage those around him to participate in community-led activities and make a contribution to society. He holds invaluable expertise in handling CSR related funding issues as well as in formulating educational projects for the young generation (such as the recent Diversity Champion Internship Program).
