The University of Alaska Anchorage School of Social Work, the University of Alaska Fairbanks Justice Department, and the Haa Tóoch Lichéesh Coalition are excited to announce the
Connect Deeply, Dream Big: Reframing Justice in Alaska through Restorative Practice
2025 Restorative Justice Symposium
March 17, 2025, 9:00 AM - March 18, 2025 - 5:00 PM
University of Alaska Anchorage
Experience restorative practices and dive deep into what makes restorative justice impactful and unique! Through this practice, we hope to reframe ideas about justice by amplifying Indigenous, victim, and other system-impacted voices that are typically unheard, unseen, and excluded from conversations about justice in Alaska.
The exact location in Anchorage and a detailed agenda are coming soon. Anticipate a full day, both days. Due to the experiential nature of the event, there will not be an option for virtual attendance. Space is limited so please only register if you fully intend to attend.

This year’s symposium is supported by:
The Alaska Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
The University of Alaska Faculty Alliance (Faculty Initiative Fund)
The University of Alaska Anchorage School of Social Work
The University of Alaska Anchorage College of Health
The University of Alaska Fairbanks Justice Department

We are asking for a “pay as you can” participation donation to our Excellence in Restorative Justice fund with the UAA Foundation. We are asking for $200 per participant. However, please feel free to give less (even if that is nothing!) as we don’t want money to be a barrier to attendance and participation. The link to donate to the foundation fund is at the end of the registration form. If you do give, please note this as a "Donation" and not a "Registration fee," as donating is optional and no payment is required to attend the symposium.
