America 250 - Independence & Remembrance Celebration
Join us in Sidney to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a two-day community event on July 4th and 5th, honoring our nation’s history while bringing people together for a meaningful weekend of patriotic pride and remembrance. This milestone celebration will highlight community spirit and include a lasting tribute to local veterans.
Friday – Independence Celebration
Independence Day will feature a patriotic downtown parade, followed by a full afternoon and evening of festivities at the Richland County Fairgrounds. This will include food and craft vendors, children's activities, ABATE bike show, a truck and tractor pull, and additional community fun for all ages, concluding with a fireworks display to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
Saturday – Remembrance Celebration
Saturday will shift to Veterans Park with a focus on reflection and honoring those who have served. The day will begin with a "One Nation, Under God" non-denominational church service, followed by America’s Potluck, and will culminate with the dedication of the Veterans Memorial Pillars, creating a permanent tribute to local veterans and future generations.
