Helen Miiasoey So
Helen is a New York-based artist from Hong Kong.
Earlier in her university years and the first few years after she graduated, Helen was still very much focused on paintings, sometimes mixed media and installations of conceptual art because She is from a Fine Arts background and they were pushing it more in that direction. Her earlier practice was conceptual but also realistic.a Then after graduation she was introduced to a lot of Hong Kong comics and animation styles, also had the chance to go to a French comic festival, which has inspired her to start doodling comics. She was always dealing with a lot of projects at the first job and didn't really have the time to channel her own art. That's why she started doodling between meetings when she was working overtime. That's how she started my doodling style.
