The National March on Washington D.C. is on Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Freedom Plaza.

As the National March for Palestine approaches, several of our community members have expressed interest in collectively attending the protest. SAFE is organizing transportation from Ann Arbor to Washington DC. We will be traveling with two Charter buses. Each bus fits 56 passengers and includes a restroom. The tickets for the first bus have been sold, the second bus is now selling tickets for $140.

We will leave on Friday, November 3rd at 3:00pm SHARP from the Michigan Union (530 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI 48109) and arrive in Washington DC at 11:30pm. We will leave from Washington DC on Sunday, November 5th at 12:00pm SHARP (exact pick-up location from Washington DC will be shared to attendees) and will arrive in Ann Arbor at 10:00pm.

On Friday, please be sure to arrive at the Michigan Union no later than 2:30pm so that we can check you in. Likewise, as we leave Washington DC, please be sure to be at the hotel no later than 11:30am so that we can check you in as we depart.

Bus tickets are $140 for transportation there and back. Participants are responsible for covering all travel and lodging fees.
(We are taking two buses to Washington DC. The first bus we secured was able to offer the price for $100 a ticket, the second bus is requiring $140 a ticket. We apologize for the inconvenience).

We will share which hotel to book from to your phone number once you register. Attendees are responsible for contacting the hotel themselves to book their room. The hotel we will be staying at is one mile away from the Freedom Plaza and charges $215 a night (including tax). We will be staying in Washington DC for two nights from Friday, Nov. 3 to Sunday, Nov. 5.

Attendees are more than welcome to stay at any hotel or rooming accommodation they please and are not obligated to stay at our suggested hotel. Please note, there is NO GUARANTEE THAT THE SUGGESTED HOTEL HAS ROOMS LEFT AVAILABLE. 

The bus will drop us off at the hotel when we arrive to DC and will pick us up from the hotel as we depart. If attendees decide to stay elsewhere, they are responsible for ensuring that they arrive back to the hotel when we depart on Sunday by noon.

The cost for a hotel room for two nights is $430. Free breakfast is included. Some of the rooms can fit up to 6 people (2 queen beds and 1 queen pull-out sofa) and some rooms fit up to 4 people (2 queen beds). If sharing a room with a group of 4, it would cost around $108 per person. If sharing a room with a group of 6, it would cost around $72 per person. In total, we expect the overall cost for the entire trip to be around $300 per person if sharing a room with a group of four people ($100 for bus ticket, $100 for hotel room, ~$100 for food and other amenities).
