World Alzheimer's Day Fundraiser Competition
July 1, 2025, 11:59 PM - September 21, 2025, 11:59 PM
In honor of World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, 2025, Anthem is launching a fundraising competition across all 20 communities and the home office to support the Employee Resource Fund. Established in June 2024, this fund provides emergency financial assistance to employees facing unexpected hardships—reflecting our commitment to supporting our team members and valuing their contributions.
The fund’s first initiative, the annual "Backpack Project," helped ease the financial burden of back-to-school expenses by distributing 289 backpacks filled with essential school supplies.
Our first fundraiser for the fund, “Anthem to Everest,” took place in August 2024. Leaders Isaac and Lewis participated in the 29029 challenge at Snowbasin, Utah, where they climbed from the base lodge to the peak of Mount Ogden (2,310 vertical feet) 13 times within 36 hours—covering over 30 miles and a total ascent of 29,029 vertical feet, equivalent to the height of Mt. Everest. Thanks to our sponsors and generous donors, the event raised $15,336.09.
This year, we’re introducing a new idea: a fundraising competition between all 20 communities and the home office to see who can raise the most money for our Employee Resource Fund. The competition will run from July 1st
through September 21st, culminating on World Alzheimer’s Day.
Each Monday, we’ll share an updated leaderboard showing the total raised by each community. We encourage you to get creative with your fundraising efforts—whether it’s a car wash, outdoor movie night, or community softball game. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting Anthem's Employee Resource Fund.
