Gallery on the Square in Franklin, Kentucky is excited to bring you an opportunity to create your own woven basket to keep! This class will be put on by GH Productions, Inc. out of Scottsville and hosted at Gallery on the Square.
The Apple Basket with Swing Handle is a classic! It’s generously sized at 12” in diameter and made of rattan material with an Oak Swing Handle. Scott Gilbert handcrafts the swing handles in our Scottsville, Kentucky shop from locally harvested white oak. Learn the basics of spoke construction as you create a double bottom basket, with continuous weave, and carve substantial and sturdy rims!
