Panel Speakers
At this year’s ARCHES 2025 Expo and Symposium, the panel discussion “Strong Minds, Strong Bodies: Addressing Mental Health in Competitive Youth Sports” will bring together four distinguished experts to explore the unique challenges teen athletes face today.
Attendees can expect an engaging conversation on the pressures of high-level competition, the role of identity in athletic performance, strategies to prevent burnout, and practical ways parents, coaches, and schools can better support the whole athlete—mind and body. The discussion will also tackle stigma around therapy in sports and highlight community solutions that foster resilience and well-being in young athletes.

Interactive Workshop: "Hidden in Plain Sight"
At the ARCHES 20205 Expo and Symposium, the Fort Bend Regional Council will present an interactive workshop designed to raise awareness about the everyday items teens may use to conceal risky behavior often hidden in plain sight. This hands-on session gives attendees the opportunity to step into a simulated teen environment and learn to identify subtle warning signs that could easily be overlooked. Participants will walk away with practical knowledge, sharper observation skills, and valuable resources to help them better support and protect the young people in their lives.
Interactive Workshop: "Gardening Greenhouse"
Fort Bend Regional Council will premier another impactful interactive workshop featuring a realistic drug pop-up tent, carefully designed to replicate the look and feel of those often seen at festivals or community gatherings. This immersive setup aims to raise awareness about how easily teens can access drugs in seemingly casual or safe environments. Participants will walk through the tent, encountering hidden displays of common paraphernalia, imitation substances, and real-life scenarios that showcased the subtle ways drugs are marketed and distributed. The experience will highlight the importance of early education and vigilance in preventing substance abuse.
Don't miss out.
