We're ready to hit on all sixes at Harmony Inc's Area 6 Convention and Contest in Jacksonville, Florida.

Area 6 is part of Harmony, Inc., an international, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the barbershop style of music and encouraging all women through education, friendship, and singing. Area 6 covers the southern region of the United States, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. We currently have chartered choruses in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. Our mission is to empower women of all backgrounds, ages, and musical abilities to "Find Your Voice" through 4-part barbershop harmony.

Join us during the contest portions of our weekend where you'll hear from swell quartets and choruses, including for the first time ever at Area 6, a Mixed Barbershop Harmony Society chorus. It's sure to be the bee's knees, so don't be left standing on the sidewalk when the jazz starts jumpin’!

Last year's AC&C Book Drive was such a success, we are doing it again! All attendees are invited to bring a children's book (appropriate for ages infant-5 years) to AC&C. This year's recipient will be the Jacksonville Emerson Head Start Center, serving the area's neediest kids with a nurturing early childhood education and family services. Last year we donated 139 books...can we top it this year? Grab a classic (some kids books published in the 1920's are still great choices!) or a more recent title that you love, and let's share the gift of reading.
