During this unprecedented time, we are working hard to find new ways to connect our youth, parents and community together even while separated. We are fully aware of the uncertainty and destabilization brought by the current COVID-19 pandemic, and our shared responsibility of preventing substance misuse and other drugs continues to be as essential as it has ever been. It’s because of this that we started several webinars, trainings, media campaign and consistent youth meetings.
Each year ASAP and community partners from Southeast Michigan, come together to generate awareness around the importance of substance use prevention. In the midst of a Global Pandemic, ACCESS ASAP’s main priority will always remain the safety of the community. Which is why the Annual ASAP Town Hall that is usually held in person, this year, will be held virtually. We’re proud to work with community partners to continue our awareness, prevention and advocacy work. The unfortunate circumstances may physically distance us, but our prevention work will socially connect us.
