Women's Self Defense
-School Series-
Fruitport/Oakridge Edition
Our Women's Self Defense program has been developed over years of research through martial arts training, military/law enforcement training and the evaluation of many other self defense programs. We have taken what works best and can effectively be taught in a 4 hour session.  Many other programs fail when they try to be too complex, making it difficult to remember after you walk out the door

We teach the 5 stages of self defense. These stages are awareness, avoidance, break away/get away, fight, and support/report. Many other programs over look several stages and focus only on the fight. If a program does not address all 5 stages, it is incomplete.

We pack a ton of material in these sessions.  Be ready to start promptly at 8am.  Wear athletic attire that you are able to move freely in and don't wear any jewelry.

Our Master Instructors are fully vaccinated for COVID in an effort to help our students feel safe.

We want to thank Michigan Mortgage for the inspiration to start the Self Defense - School Series. We were in talks with a school district to provide services when we approached Michigan Mortgage for a potential sponsorship. Dave suggested expanding the concept to include a series of seminars for 4 different school districts. This idea was much larger than we had previously considered but we immediately loved it. Michigan Mortgage has committed to being a sponsor for the entire School Series.

We have decided to expand the idea even more, partnering 2 schools per session, allowing us to service 8 different school districts.

Michigan Mortgage's commitment to community inspired Aspire Taekwondo to reduce our standard event fee in addition to their sponsorship. This allows each attendee to have access this great event for only $20!

My 13 year old daughter had expressed an interest in taking a women’s self defense class in case she ever needed to defend herself. When I saw that Aspire Taekwando was offering it I  jumped at the chance for us to take it. Not only did we have fun, but we learned so much. My daughter and I felt way more confident afterwards. We are looking forward to taking the class again to review and practice what learned last time!
