The AspireMN September Leadership Retreat is an opportunity to reset while learning about yourself in the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area at Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort in Deerwood.

What is the Kolbe Institute Workshop?
Erin Werde will lead the Kolbe Index workshop. You can listen to two podcast where Erin discusses the Kolbe way of engaging. Podcast 1 and Podcast 2
Pre-Session: Each participant will complete the Kolbe A Index. Assessment Fee included in your registration. Kolbe is different than other tools on the market, as it focuses on how you take action.
Session outline:
9 am – 12: Understanding Your Instinct
Session will be fully interactive with guided discussion and a reflection handout. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Kolbe, and break up into small groups to understand how they take action on the four modes:
- How much information one needs
- How much structure one needs
- How much risk one needs
- How much of a tangible one needs
1 – 2:30 | Are you living in your instinct?
It is one thing to define your instinct; but it is another to determine if you are aligned with your instinct. Purpose of session is to answer reflection questions with how you are actually working in your position compared to your instinctive drive. Living in your instinct is key to minimizing burnout. Session will have guided strategies to protect the need to work within your instinct.
2:45 – 4 | Bringing It Back To Your Teams
We have now had a full day of learning about instinct, and the power of working in vs. against your sweet spot. But the learning doesn’t stop here. Final section of today will be focused on creating specific action items to bring content back to each respective team. Take-aways include:
- Finding the words to describe your instinct to those who you work with closely
- Defining what you need to efficient communication
- Strategies to incorporated instinct into your individual work
