Divisions
We will have divisions based on PEV: ESK8, EUC, Onewheel, and eScooter. Racing in
multiple PEV divisions requires an extra race ticket.
Subdivisions
Within the PEV divisions we will run some subdivisions with restricted criteria. Racers may race
in as many subdivisions as they meet the criteria for.
Race masters will decide based on participation which subdivisions will run, and will publish this
info at the event.
Open
-The main race is the Open subdivision, it is open to any participant.
Women’s
-We wish to encourage more women’s participation for those women who wish to level up in a
less testosterone filled field, for this there will be a women’s only subdivision. Women are still
free to also race in the open division.
Onechair
-OneChairs only! for the fender fluid. Obviously only within the onewheel division.
Example Race Divisions and classes
-Division Subdivision Class
-EUC open pro
-EUC open sportsman
-EUC open starters
-EUC women's sportsman
-ESK8 open pro
-ESK8 open sportsman
-ESK8 open starters
-ESK8 women's sportsman
-Onewheel open sportsman
-Onewheel Onechair sportsman
-eScooter open sportsman

Final divisions and classes will be decided by race masters based on participation.
Race Classes and Qualifying
-Within a division we’ll run timed qualifying laps. These lap times serve as forever bragging
rights so do your best. They also set your race class and starting positions.
-Race masters will use qualifying times to break the field of riders in to 3 possible race classes:
Pro, Sportsman, and Starters (ranked fastest to slowest) Racers can only compete in one
class based on their qualifying. (see heat races and finals for how to make up for poor
qualifying)
-This makes for simple competitive groupings based on a combination of rider skill and
equipment.
-Depending on participation some divisions may run only a single race class. Race masters will
decide and publish this info at the event.
-Qualifying is once per division, not subdivision, for example a racer who participates in both
open and women’s subdivisions will use the same qualifying time for both.

Heat Races and Finals

-Qualifying time is important. But it’s not everything. Based on qualifying times racemasters will
establish heat races within each class and post at the event. Starting positions in heat races
will be determined by qualifying times. However, starting position in the finals will be
determined by the results of the heat races. Race masters will determine based on
participation how many rounds of heat races are required to establish the final race.

-So if you mess up your qualifying time, don’t worry, these heat races let you compete your way
to top of the class.
After the heat races the top finalists in starters or sportsman can ask to be moved up to the
next class. Note that this is at the discretion of the race masters. Furthermore, racemasters can
decide to move a finalist at their discretion if it appears they have been significantly under
classed. Racers moved up a class will compete from the back of the field in that class's finals.
