Join us for a Backyard Skills workshop celebrating the bounty of autumn.

Our latest four-week farm-to-table workshop explores the interconnected relationship between the garden and the kitchen. Through the lens of a seasonal ingredient, we will explore techniques to improve our gardens at home- skills like soil health, seed saving, cover crop, trellising, pest management, and more. Next, we will take the ingredient into the kitchen and learn a variety of traditional methods (fermentation, preservation, etc.) for transforming our harvest into healthy and delicious recipes. From farm to fork, we will be improving our skills and learning from our experts at The Ecology Center.

Each week’s class includes a culinary treat, recipes, and new gardening knowledge for your backyard, side yard, and patio endeavors.

Details:
- Our autumn workshop starts November 15th and continues each following Tuesday for four weeks (11/22, 11/29, 12/6).
- This program is open to anyone 15 years and older. (We encourage our younger Villagers to check out our Rad! Traditions after-school program for Autumn and Winter.)
- $200 for full course or $50/individual class. Each week’s class includes a culinary treat, recipes, and new gardening knowledge for your backyard, side yard, and patio endeavors.
