BaconFest is one of our signature private fundraisers here at the Lu. How's this sound: 50-pound BLT bar, a Bac-Off cooking competition, 10 gallons of infused spirits, and more bands than you can shake a pig at? It's also the official launching pad of Summer in the Seacoast, and we're honored to have y'all, whether it's your first time in or if you've attended every one of our 13 BaconFests.

Bac-Off
Our annual BaconFest Bac-Off pits attendees against each other in a knockdown, drag-out cooking competition. First place gets a Top Hawg trophy and bragging rights for a year. Ladies and gents, start your bacon!
2023 Bac-Off Rules
Entries must be homemade; not purchased from store or restaurant.
Entries must be submitted by the individual who created the dish, not by someone who isn’t present.
Entries must contain bacon and/or pork.
Entries do NOT have to be original; any recipe is acceptable.
Entrants will receive a mason jar and sticker to mark their dish.
Ticket holders will receive one rubber pig upon entering BaconFest. They will place the pig in the jar of the dish they think is best.
Voting period: 1:30-5:30PM
The contest coordinator regularly checks the number of pigs in each jar.
Votes tallied at 5:45
The winner will be announced at 6:00 PM, followed by atrophy presentation.

Food & Beverages
BaconFest 2024 will feature a gourmet BLT bar with 50 pounds of fresh bacon and more fixings than you can shake a hog at. We'll also have plenty of fresh-infused cocktails, locally sourced beer, spritzers, sangria, and adult treats because we live in Maine. We'll have side dishes, Lu Dogs, charcoal-cooked pizza, and bacon-flavored popcorn. You're welcome to bring a side dish. If you go hungry at BaconFest, it's your damned fault!
