Sign up to compete in the Founder's Day BBQ Rib Cook-Off, hosted by Granite Park Leader, Tara McKenna!
Competition Details:
- Competitors may arrive as early as 6:00 a.m. to set up.
- Each participant will be assigned a 10x10 space.
- Entrants must provide their own BBQ, canopy tent, and supplies. (No open flames permitted under a canopy.)
- First through 3rd place prizes will be awarded!
Rules:
- Ribs will be judged based on appearance, taste, and texture.
- Only pork ribs are allowed - either baby back or spare ribs.
- All cooking must be done on-site. Pre-cooking before arrival is not permitted; however, prior prepping and trimming are allowed.
- Propane, pellet, and charcoal cooking methods are acceptable.
- Turn-in boxes will be provided and must be used for submitting ribs to the judges.
- Turn-in time is 12:00 p.m. sharp - no exceptions. An official clock will be used.
- Each entry must include one rib per judge, with only one entry allowed per person.
Participants must register by March 21.
