BEAM Circular is building a vibrant regional ecosystem for the
circular bioeconomy in California’s agricultural heartland, the
North San Joaquin Valley (NSJV). BEAM is facilitating collaboration and catalyzing action through the BioEconomy, Agriculture, and Manufacturing (BEAM) Initiative, a portfolio of public and private projects designed to scale the most promising innovations in bioindustrial manufacturing and to advance solutions that support economic and environmental outcomes for local communities.
As part of BEAM’s mission, BEAM is dedicated to empowering businesses in the NSJV by helping them secure research and commercialization funding, such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants and similar grants.
The Research and Commercialization Grant Assistance Program (RC-GAP) offers up to $5,000 to bioeconomy businesses applying to research and commercialization grants. These funds can be used for services such as expert grant writing, comprehensive proposal review, technical assistance, and business planning, all aimed at streamlining the application process and boosting their chances of success.
