Dr. Rosemarie Allen
Rosemarie Allen has served as a leader in early childhood education for nearly 40 years. Her life's work is centered on ensuring children have access to high-quality early childhood programs that are developmentally and culturally appropriate. She is currently an Associate Professor in the School
of Education at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her classes are focused on ensuring teachers are aware of how issues of equity, privilege, and power impact teaching practices. She is also the President & CEO of the Institute for Racial Equity & Excellence. In 2012, Dr. Allen was appointed a
Global Leader for Young Children by the World Forum on Early Care and Education. She collaborates with professionals and advocates from more than 80 countries who meet to share inspiration and information on issues impacting children and families worldwide. Rosemarie earned her B. A. from
California State University, M.Ed from Lesley University, and EdD in Equity and Leadership in Education at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Originally constructed in 1902 to serve as a stock exchange for local mining enterprises, this boutique hotel, known as The Mining Exchange, has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment. The aim was to seamlessly blend the historic architecture with contemporary elegance. Parking
Attendees are responsible for their parking. The Mining Exchange offers valet services for $15 per car (this does not include overnight parking). The City of Colorado Springs operates several parking garages and surface lots within a few blocks of the hotel, rates do vary. 

The closest parking garage operated by the City of Colorado Springs is 500 feet South of The Mining Exchange at 130 S Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
