Join us on Sunday, April 12, 2026
Our annual fundraiser, Bike For Trykes, is a fun event in which local cyclists join NorCal Trykers in riding 15K, 50K or 100K to raise money for our organization to provide adaptive tricycles to kids with disabilities.
The format of this event is similar to a bike-a-thon, as riders are encouraged to get "sponsors" for their ride. There is a $125 entry fee. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to fund a minimum of 18 trykes for kids with disabilities.

Here's how to do it:
1. Click on the Register Now Button
2. Select the 15K, 50K, or 100K ride and go to the box next to it and scroll to the Number 1
3. Click on Continue at the bottom
4. Complete the registration with your information
5. Check the waiver box at the bottom. We will send that document to you once you have registered.
6. Choose to submit your entry fee by credit card or check.

Imagine being a child, wheelchair bound and only able to take a few steps with crutches around your home. This was Josh before getting his new AMTRYKE tricycle from NorCal Trykers. While his brothers played outside on their bikes, Josh, who has no cognitive deficits, was aware of his limitations and sat in his wheelchair and watched. After receiving his tryke, Josh's mom told us of her joy seeing all of the boys interacting and playing together on their bikes.

About NorCal Trykers
We live in a community that values bicycling as a means of transportation, recreation and exercise. There are hundreds of children in our region who would like to participate, but are unable to do so with traditional cycles. This is a need that increases each day as more children are diagnosed with disabilities.
NorCal Trykers, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a chapter of National AMBUCS, Inc. and was created for the sole purpose of providing customized therapeutic AMTRYKE tricycles to children with disabilities. Our mission is to provide mobility, exercise, confidence, and a sense of normalcy to the lives of these children in the Sacramento Valley area of Northern California.
Over 1,200 companies and individuals have made significant donations for the purchase of trykes for kids, which cost an average of $1,600 each. No child is turned away. As an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, we make sure that nearly 100% of your donation goes toward tryke purchases. Since inception in 2017, NorCal Trykers has provided nearly 400 tricycles. When children outgrow their tricycles, they size up to a new one. Our Re-“Cycle” program volunteers refurbish the old tricycles from nuts and bolts to paint, making them as good as new, and ready for a new rider.
