Jabez Books' 2023 Book & Business Expo is a family affair! 

Celebrating the launch of its Literacy Foundation, "The Blessed Society," Jabez Books is taking a strong stand against illiteracy by choosing to be a gateway to eliminate illiteracy within the community, especially with children. However, we are greatly concerned about adult illiteracy as well.

According to statistics on the internet:
*2/3 of students who cannot read proficiently by the end of 4th grade will end up in jail or on welfare.
*1 in 4 children in America grow up without learning how to read.
*Students who don't read proficiently by the 3rd grade are 4 times likelier to drop out of school.
*Nationwide, on average, 79% of U.S. adults are literate in 2022.
*54% of adults have a literacy below sixth-grade level.
*21% of Americans 18 and older are illiterate in 2022.

So, this year's Book & Business Expo is about supporting our endeavor to help alleviate illiteracy in America.
