What are you scared of?
In a world of cancel culture, coupled with turbulent times, it can be daunting for leaders to know how to make decisions that are both good for their business, and good for society. Join this session to break down what we are truly scared of, how to be intentional (vs performative) and how you can confidently make the decisions that align with your values - with or without support.

Resilience - Essential? Yes! At the Cost of Burn Out? Not Necessarily!
Resilience is always spoken about positively - it is a leading quality for all leaders, yet we don’t see the full picture, we don’t always hear the whole reality. We keep going, but at what cost? Join this session to reposition your perspective on resilience, and how you can 'grow' through resilience, rather than simply 'go' through it. Be great and be calm without sacrificing it all.'

Speaker: Patrick Cozier, Headteacher, Highgate Wood School

Find Your Voice
As leaders we have a responsibility to speak out and take action when we see behaviour that is unacceptable.  How do you find the courage to do this when others chose to ignore it and what can you bring from your experience that truly motivates and inspires you to keep going event when the outcome may be unclear both personally and professionally

Speaker: Heidi Stewart, CEO

Location: Great Hall
11:15 - 11:45 AM
Reclaiming Anti-Racism
As vague "DEI" promises continue to dilute and distract from anti-racist action to maintain the status quo of power, it’s important that this doesn't wipe out years of anti-racism work and the impact created. As meaningful discussion turns into circular debate, this only rewards oppressive behaviour and leaves the people who are the most marginalised and excluded at work even further behind. So how do we move to being a business where equity is at the foundation of everything we do? How do we, as leaders, ensure an equitable experience at work is everyone’s business?

Speaker: Collette Phillip, Founder, Brand By Me

Location: Great Hall
11:45 - 12:15 PM
Being a Leader: In and Out of Work
So you’re a leader? Do you lead yourself as you lead your team? Or is this a hat you put on for work? Not all of us set out to be a leader, but have fallen into this space and don’t want to leave. So what does this mean? In this session, you’ll hear some uncomfortable truths about how you can truly move into leadership in all areas of your life.

Speaker: Shazia Ginai, CMO, Basis

Managing the team - In Good and Bad
We know the strategies and the motivations to keep our people going and move towards the same success goal. Yet, we aren’t equipped with the same understanding and are sometimes unable to provide the same guidance in the hard times. It’s like the blueprint of leadership is focused on the business and not the people. Join this session to hear practical tactics and steps to keep your team motivated and engaged through the highs and lows of business.

Speaker: Lauren Williams, CEO, Vision North Somerset

Location: Great Hall
2:00 - 2:30 PM
Moving Outside of Your Understanding
There’s something about hearing stories, experiences and perspectives outside of your bubble. But what do you do after this? Are you able to break down this in a critical way coupled with emotional thinking? We hear new thoughts and world views almost every day, and it’s our responsibility as leaders to listen, engage and adapt when it comes directly to us. Join this session to uncover how you can take this new perspective and bring into how you lead your team.

Speaker: Lady Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, Co-Founder, UK Black Pride

Staying Ahead of the Future
Do you understand Japanese? If not, you can admit that it’s a real language and experience for many. This is a “simplified” approach for leaders to recognise, listen and understand the variety of experiences our employees face. So how do you stay ahead and equip yourself in the complex, yet simple world we live in. In this session, you’ll hear some perspectives you’ve never heard to elevate your role and responsibility as a leader.

Speaker: James Jackson, Senior People & Wellbeing Programme Manager, NHS

Location: Room 1.4 - 1.5
2:30 - 3:00 PM
Creating Intraprenuers in the Business
Three years post-pandemic, businesses and it’s people had to pivot and adapt their business approaches to achieving their goals. Innovation, self sufficiency, and motivation (yourself and others) are only some of the skills our employees had to adopt overnight…is this the formula for entrepreneurship? In this session, you’ll uncover how you can support your employees to not only be employees but take ownership and move towards becoming an intrapreneur.

Speaker: Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa, CEO, Career Ready

Location: Great Hall
2:30 - 3:00 PM
Regenerative Leadership: Putting Life at the Center of our Decisions
We might all agree that putting life at the center of our decisions and actions makes sense, but what does that look like in practice? What methods, tools, and ways of relating can we embody to support a shift towards a culture of care, where compassionate leadership advocates for the whole human, the way our regenerative projects advocate for entire systems change?

You will re-evaluate the way we build our organizations, and communities to serve life rather than extract from it. To instill courage in our teams so we can learn to speak to power as a means to support us in building cultures of inclusion, and foster empathy as a way of re-embedding our cultures into ones of reciprocity and creativity with both the human and natural world. Learn about the trials and tribulations of building a regenerative organisation and tools tested to support people in designing their cultures to put life at the center of their decisions.

Speaker: Nicole Bosky, Founder, Primal Leadership

When you think of a brave business, do you think of a business or a person in that business? It’s one thing to be a brave leader and move through business with confidence, but are you leaving your “braveness” with your people, team and environment? In this session, you’ll hear strategies to create deep seated brave practices, that will be there long after your gone. It’s time to impart our braveness with those around us.

Speaker: Nick Eagleton, Co-Founder, The Saboteur Studio

You know that feeling of being overwhelmed, stressed out, and feeling under pressure? But we all know, you can’t pour from an empty cup, even if you are the leader. Join this session to explore how you can create boundaries and rules that enable you to give to others, while making sure your own cup is full. You’ll create a set of practical and empowering boundaries, tailored to your needs and wants.

Keeping the People’s Issue a Priority
Over the past couple of months, we have seen an increase in DEI Leaders and roles no longer existing in all types of businesses. Is this the end of corporate inclusivity? As businesses face more external pressures from retention rates to skills gaps, businesses play snakes and ladders with it’s priorities. And inclusivity has fallen down the biggest snake. In this session, you’ll hear out-of-the-box thinking on how we all have a play to part in ensuring the impact of inclusivity doesn’t fall either. They may take the titles, but they can’t take the impact.
