Saturday June 27th, 2026 β BUMP welcomes NYC's JKriv for our next fully realized dancefloor experience inside the velvet-draped decadence of CHARADE SPEAKEASY in Bankers Hill.
The red curtains part once more at one of our favorite rooms in the city as we continue exploring the possibilities of CHARADE's acoustically ideal, intimate theater setting. Anticipate immersive projections by Alex Wilson, pro lighting by SD Social Lights, our own four-corner reinforced soundsystem, a lounge room for mid-dance decompression, and decor by the BUMP Famsemble.
We'll be joined this session by JKriv - Brooklyn DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-founder of the internationally respected Razor-N-Tape record label. Over a career spanning more than two decades, JKriv has blazed an unconventional path through the club world, beginning as a trained jazz musician and live performer before picking up turntables. Since then JKriv has become a highly respected producer, prolific remixer, and incendiary DJ weaving eclectic & electric disco, house, and off-beat selections together seamlessly and always with an eye on the dance floor. FULL TRUST JKriv will treat the BUMP dance floor right, and naturally the BUMP DJS are ready, willing, and excited to warm you up before JKriv takes the controls.

The Underground '80s Club Sound of NY with JKriv
This selection focuses on a key moment in dance music history when underground club music was transitioning from Disco to 80s dance and House. Producers like Boyd Jarvis, Tee Scott, Timmy Regisford and others were making use of new recording techniques, using drum machines, sequencers as well as dub effect styles borrowed from Reggae and Dancehall to create whatβs now often called Proto-House. Itβs a very NY sound, super soulful and still sounds modern and fresh today.
