Catholic Social Services invites you to join us, in person, for this year’s Breakfast with the Bishop!

Bishop Fernandes will offer insight into how we can make a positive impact on poor and vulnerable families and seniors in our community with the theme of "solidarity".

Additionally, we have the pleasure of welcoming our keynote speaker, George Weigel, a Catholic theologian and one of America's leading public intellectuals. He currently serves as a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the "Ethics and Public Policy Center". Mr. Weigel is perhaps best known for his internationally acclaimed two-volume biography of Pope St. John Paul II, the New York Times bestseller, Witness to Hope (1999), and its sequel, The End and the Beginning (2010).

The proceeds of this event will provide crucial support for our 13 poverty-reducing programs. Our agency helps working-poor families stabilize and become self-sufficient through case management, mental healthcare, and emergency assistance. We help low-income seniors age with grace and independence through our supportive services and community-impact opportunities. Whether we are working with families or seniors, we know that poverty is complicated and requires holistic solutions.
