The Casa Del Mar will be the primary location for our 2022 reunion. Make sure you check in and register for the reunion at the small room adjacent to the main meeting room of the hotel.

Memorial Service, Salute to SS-244 and Toll the Bell Ceremony held at 10am on Sat, April 9, 2022
Galveston Naval Museum at Seawolf Park

The Memorial Service and Toll the Bell ceremony for the All Cavalla 2022 Reunion will be held at Seawolf Park.

The Memorial Service will have a special salute to SS-244 and a color guard in remembrance of our shipmates.

We will also celebrate the birthday of the US Navy submarine force (April 11 each year) at the Service.

We recommend leaving the hotel by 915am to arrive at the park by 945am. Any shipmates needing a ride should meeting the Casa Del Mar hotel lobby at 9am.
Memorial Service, Salute to SS-244 and Toll The Bell Ceremony 2022
                    Join us in honoring our shipmates on eternal patrol at the Memorial Service on Saturday, April 9th held at Seawolf Park. We will have a special salute to SS-244, including a color guard and Toll the Bell ceremony in remembrance of our shipmates.

Our main speaker for the 2022 reunion will be YouTube’s “The History Guy”. Lance will talk about the history of USS Cavalla SS-244 and its role in WWII. Check out “The History Guy” YouTube video on Shokaku and Cavalla

Rob will present the 1982 diving tragedy aboard the USS Grayback. Causes of the accident, lessons learned and preventative steps US Navy took so the incident would not be repeated.

Special Reunion Event
Our shipmate Bob Thompson has graciously offered sailing trips on his 34ft Catamaran the “Rat’s Nest” out of Galveston Yacht Basin on Galveston Island. 
 
Bob will be making short sailing trips on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (April 7, 8 and 9).
