Where is the childminding service located?
The service is located in a secure and private room within the Crown Perth complex - five minutes' walking distance from the main event space.
When is the childminding service available?
Commencement time is from 1pm and concluding at 8pm. All children must be collected no later than 8pm. For our Member Forum, AGM and Sundowner event times,

Is there a cost to utilise the childminding service?
The service is complimentary for all CBH event attendees.
What ages are allowed in the childminding service?
It is suitable for children from birth to 12 years of age.
Who is managing the service?
The childminding service is provided by Cherished Cherubs. The company is well known to Crown Perth and are a recommended supplier of the venue. The company and all staff hold the relevant certificates, including First Aid Certificates and Working with Children approvals.
How many staff will be looking after my child/children?
The childminding service caregivers and ratio requirements are:
- Birth to 24 months: one caregiver per two children
- 24 to 36 months: one caregiver per three children
- 36 months to 5 years: one caregiver per four children
- Over 5 years: one caregiver per five children
How do I register my child?
We ask you to register your interest in the childminding service firstly. Registration of interest closed at 5pm on Thursday 13 February. To confirm the booking, a registration form is required to be completed for each child. The registration form includes details specific to each child. CBH Group will connect you directly with the team member who will assist with your registration and can answer any other queries you may have.
Can I register more than one child?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of children you can register for the childminding service. There will, however, be limited bookings available, so it is recommended to register your interest early.
Can I register my child/children on the day?
Registration of interest for the childminding service closes at 5pm on Thursday 13 February. To ensure you have a place for your child/children, you will need to register your interest before the cut-off time.
What is the process for collecting my child/children?
Photo identification must be shown on collection of your child/children. The photo identification will be vetted against the identification provided at the registration stage. A signature will also be required to collect your child.
Do I need ID to check-in and collect my child/children?
Yes, all parents and staff will require photo identification to access the room. No ID, no access. During child collection, childminding service caregivers will correlate parent names from the registration paperwork to ensure they are the correct and authorised person for pick up.
Do I need to be the one to collect my child or can I arrange for someone else to do this?
Children can only be collected by the pre-registered and approved parent/s or minder/guardian. This person/people will be pre-recorded on check-in of your child, including photo identification and contact mobile phone. Identification must be shown on collection of the child/children. A signature will also be required to collect your child.
Can I see my child/children during the event/s?
Yes, you are very welcome to check on your child or pop in and say hello to your child. The standard secure check-in processes will take place on each occasion to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
Will I be contacted should my child/children need me during the event/s?
The pre-registration process includes providing current contact information for the parent/guardian of the child/children, including a mobile number.
Who is permitted in the childminding room?
Only pre-registered parents, CBH staff and event staff, along with pre-registered children are permitted. Crown staff will be required to access the room for replenishing purposes. The room is not accessible to any CBH, event, Crown or childminding staff who are not approved or pre-approved for this event.
What is the process for taking my child/children to a restroom facility?
The childminding caregivers will assist your child/children to Crown’s closest public restroom. The child/children will not be left unattended or permitted to go to the restroom without full supervision.
Is there security in the room or at the door?
Security will not be positioned in the childminding room. Security will be available external to the room.
Does the childminding service provide First Aid facilities should this be required?
All childminding caregivers hold a First Aid qualification. First Aid supplies will be held in the childminding room. Crown also has First Aid team members and supplies available for their patrons, guests, staff and your children.
What do I need to supply for my child/children?
We ask all parents to supply (labelled with the child's name), food, water bottle, nappies (if applicable), a spare set of clothing and any prescribed medication.
Should I label my child’s/children’s items prior to arriving on the day?
Yes, all items brought into the childminding room must be labelled with your child’s full name including water bottles, prams, bags, toys etc. All items will be labelled and stored together to ensure no food or personal items get mixed up or given to the wrong family at pick-up time.
Will my child be fed?
Children will be fed the food that is provided or supplied by their parents/guardian only. There will not be any other food available in the childminding room. Water will be available.
Will there be a fridge available to keep food cold?
There will be a facility for keeping food and beverages cool. Our team will be able to access this facility as required.
Will there be a facility for warming food?
There will be a facility for warming food. Childminding caregivers will be able to arrange this with the venue on the day.
Will there be water dispensers available or do I need to provide water for the duration of the stay?
Water dispensers will be available in the childminding room throughout the day and night, dedicated for the children.
Will there be toys and activities for my child/children?
We welcome all parents to bring their child’s favourite toy or toys. The childminding service will also have a small number of toys and activities available. Age-appropriate toys and equipment will be tailored to the needs of the children attending.
Will there be sleeping facilities for my child/children?
Yes. Should your child require a sleep or nap during the childminding times, we ask parents to bring their all-necessary sleeping items, as the service will not have any sleeping facilities in place.
Do I need to bring nappies, wipes etc for my child? (should they be of this age)
Yes, we ask that all parents/guardians bring sufficient nappies, wipes and any child comforts for the duration of their stay, as these items will not be provided by the childminding service.
What information do you need about my child/children?
Caregivers must be advised of all medical conditions, prescribed medication and instructions required to be known or followed by the caregivers. An emergency contact will also be required as part of the registration process.
