Status Update: Public Charge & Medicaid/ACA Changes
Join us on September 14
This forum will focus on unpacking how the new public charge regulations and changes to eligibility for Medicaid and ACA will impact immigrant and refugee communities. Service providers will be equipped with understanding the language of the bills, how they will impact different immigrant and refugee statuses generally and locally, how to communicate with community groups & help clients navigate changes in coverage, and what alternative resources exist for those affected.

In addition to hearing from local organizations actively working to inform and support those that are affected by these changes, we are looking forward to hearing from Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) about what advocates should know about the changes to public charge. PIF is a national coalition that works to bridge the gaps between leading advocates in the immigrant rights and health and social services advocacy spaces.
