Wylie Christian Church, Abilene, Texas
Rev. Deborah Morgan-Stokes
The Rev. Deborah Morgan-Stokes was born in Dallas, TX and was an active member of Northway Christian Church from the cradle roll until she went to Texas Christian University. From there she graduated with a B.S. in Education then went on to teach ninth grade remedial reading and 11th grade English at L. G. Pinkston H.S. in West Dallas. Deborah's call to ministry was encouraged by experiences with her students at Pinkston and her work with the then DAACC (North Texas Area) youth leadership team.
Vanderbilt Divinity School was where Deborah received her Master of Divinity. She went on to serve as solo pastor at FCC Waynesboro, TN.; Associate, then Senior Minister at Saguaro Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona; Senior Minister at East Dallas Christian Church; part-time Associate Minister at Midway Hills Christian Church in Dallas, and Interim Senior Minister at First Christian Church, Arlington. She is currently working as a discernment coach for rural congregations through Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Deborah has served on the Boards of the Week of Compassion, Disciples Church Extension Fund, Juliette Fowler Communities, Literacy Achieves, and the East Dallas Community Center.
She is married to Don Stokes, a retired business owner in the film industry. Her mother, Nyla Morgan, lives with them at their home in East Dallas. Deborah loves to travel, read, bike and listen to people's stories.

100% refund for emergencies up to the first day of the event;
100% if requested in writing up to seven days prior to the first day of the event;
50%, in cases of emergency only, if notification is made after the beginning of the event.
Refund issued only if the written request is received in the CCSW Regional office - either at PO Box 1689, Fort Worth TX 76101-1689, or at [email protected] - within seven days of the last day of the event; no refunds for non- emergency cancellations after the beginning of the event.

Camp management has held camps & meetings all summer with frequent cleaning of and and sanitizing of public areas, with attention paid to high-touch points and traffic areas. Social distancing will be highly encouraged and hand sanitizers will be readily available. If this event needs to be cancelled or changed due to COVID-19 you will be informed before at least 7days before the start of the event.
