Obituary
With fond memories and loving hearts, we bid farewell to Barbara Stallings Isaacs, of Sandy Springs, Georgia. Barbara passed peacefully on April 17, 2024, surrounded by the comfort of her dear friend, Janice. She is under the compassionate care of Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Born on July 7, 1947, to William and Anita Stallings in Calvert, Alabama, Barbara lived a life filled with love, compassion and plenty of laughter.
From her humble beginnings in Alabama, Barbara ventured out, drawn by the bright lights of Atlanta after graduating from Citronelle High School in 1965. Her adventurous spirit led her to the skies, where she spread her wings as an Eastern Airline Flight Attendant, embarking on a thrilling career that spanned 23 years. From the bustling streets of Atlanta to the sunny shores of Miami and beyond, Barbara's journey took her far and wide, weaving tales of friendship and adventure.
Amidst her experiences, Barbara's heart found its truest joy in the role of motherhood, as she lovingly raised her only child, a daughter, Ashley, with her beloved husband, Michael, by her side. Together, they filled their family days with laughter, love and travel. Though life's path may have diverged after years of marriage, Barbara and Michael remained steadfast allies in the journey of parenthood, navigating its ups and downs with unwavering grace and devotion to Ashley.
Barbara's profound legacy lives on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, her unwavering compassion for animals and the countless memories she leaves behind. She was more than a wife, sister, and mother; she was a beacon of warmth and kindness, forever cherished by her daughter, Ashley Isaacs; her brother, Joseph Stallings; her sister, Brenda Stallings; her niece, Kimberly Reid (John Reid); and her great-niece, Zoé Reid.
