Celebration of Life for George Patrick Dunphy
  October 24th?? 1931 - March 22st 2024
Passed away peacefully March 22, 2024, in his favourite recliner at his home in Westmount Estates at the respectful age of 92 years, still socially active and planning for the upcoming golf season at Humber Valley Resort.

He drove every day to go visit his wife Ruby of nearly 70 years. He lived a full life, that many admired and we are all thankful for.

His craftsmanship skills were legendary and he could build or fix anything, including the family home in Humber Village.

Left to celebrate his life, are his two adult kids, Kim (Dieter) and Georgie (Keressa) and his sister Anita in Florida.

He was an expert cribbage player and will now spend eternity teaching his eldest son Charles (Beth) who passed away unexpectedly on March 1st 2024, how to cheat at cards.

We’re thankful that he was able to pass on his cribbage skills to his grandson Ben, his love of winter sports to his granddaughter Gillian, and his incredible problem-solving mind to both.

He and Ruby built a thriving business on Commercial Street, which gave them the opportunity to build deep and long-lasting relationships within our community, which they both cherished.

His family and his many close friends will be celebrating his life on May 4th at 10:30 am at Holy Redeemer Cathedral. There will be opportunity to share stories and have one more laugh together @ the Glynmill Inn from 3 to 5 pm.

...All are welcome to stop by.

P.S. We are pretty sure his birthday was October 24, 1931, but we could never get a straight answer out of him. If there is anyone still around who might have been there, please let us know??
