Workshop Description: Inside the Attack Chain: A Purple Team Simulation of Modern Intrusions!
Abstract: Modern cyberattacks rarely follow a straight line—they’re a series of moves and countermoves between attackers and defenders. In Inside the Attack Chain, we bring that game of cat-and-mouse to life.
This interactive session walks you through a simulated cyber incident from both attacker and defender perspectives. You’ll see how adversaries gain access, move laterally, and try to evade detection - and how security teams investigate, validate alerts, and fine-tune defenses across endpoints, identities, and security platforms.

Using lessons from real-world engagements, we’ll explore common attack techniques, threat actor behaviors, and practical ways to detect and disrupt intrusions before they escalate. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how modern attacks unfold - and actionable insights into how both technical teams and leadership can respond more effectively.

Whether you’re hands-on in security operations or guiding cybersecurity strategy, this session will give you a front-row seat to the attack chain and show how purple teaming can turn insights into stronger defenses.
