It's a live, on-stage celebration of what Chicago Dramatists does better than anyone: nurture and develop Chicago playwrights. We'll be featuring our playwrights' work along with a lot of added fun, drama, laughs, music and song. It's an exciting evening of awards and recognition.

It's also a celebration of you, our donors, whose critical philanthropy (big or small) helps expand the voices on theatre stages by supporting our mission.

Beau O’Reilly, of This American Life, maestro subgum, and the Curious Theater Branch* fame, will be performing a solo cabaret that begins with things that dogs don't like, and visits the graves of Judy Garland, and 20th century theater…
Kurt Jolly will perform an excerpt from his show, "The 40 Year Old Orphan," a darkly humorous journey through one person’s effort to build a life, after losing their family.
