The Chi Delta Alumni Association invites you to celebrate 50 years as the Chi Delta chapter of Psi Upsilon. From the founding of the Chi Delta Phi in 1968 to joining Psi Upsilon in 1973 to the present day, the Chi Delta chapter has undergone many changes. But we have remained strong throughout thanks to our shared values and the eternal bonds of brotherhood. Join us on Saturday, November 4, at the Millennium Durham Hotel to reminisce and reconnect as we celebrate our past and look forward to the future.

Who's Coming
Location
Millennium Durham Hotel
2800 Campus Walk Avenue, Durham, NC, 27705
Those who attended the 35th anniversary may remember the Millennium Hotel venue, but over the past four years the hotel has completed a top-to-bottom renovation. The CDAA has reserved a block of rooms at the Millennium for Friday and Saturday night. Click here to book your reservation using the CDAA room block, or visit the Millennium Hotel's website and use the group code: PSIEPSILONNOV23

Regretfully, the hotel misspelled our name as "Psi Epsilon" when creating the room block code and cannot change it.

*Update* If you are looking to book a room for Thursday night as well, we have a few rooms available with the group code 2311PSIUP2

If you have any difficulties making your hotel reservation, please let us know at [email protected] so we can work with the hotel to correct the issue.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to stay at the Millennium Durham Hotel?
No, but it is worth noting that Duke has scheduled Family Weekend for November 3-5, and most hotels near Duke are not accepting reservations that weekend. The CDAA has secured a room block at the Millennium Durham Hotel for $100 per night on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th, and also a few extra rooms for Thursday the 2nd. The Washington Duke Inn, J.B. Duke Hotel, and AC Hotel by Mariott are not accepting reservations, but other options further from campus may still have vacancies.
Why does the room block code read "Psi Epsilon"?
Regretfully, the hotel misspelled our name when creating the room block code, and they have not been able to change it despite repeated requests. The code works, though!
I am having trouble making a hotel reservation for Thursday night.
Our room block is only scheduled for Friday and Saturday night, though we have a few rooms available for Thursday night using the group code 2311PSIUP2. You will need to call the Millennium Durham Hotel to add additional nights to your stay on either end if that code does not work for you. (919) 383-8575
Is there anything special happening at Duke that weekend?
Yes, Family Weekend is scheduled for November 3-5. For what it's worth, we booked our venue back in December, while Duke announced the date for Family Weekend in May. We were here first! But bear in mind that there will be a number of families at Duke and around Durham this same weekend. We recommend reserving your hotel room early to ensure your spot.
Is there a Duke football game on November 4?
No, Duke will be playing against Wake Forest University at 7:30 PM on Thursday, November 2: https://goduke.com/sports/football/schedule/2023
When is Homecoming this year?
Duke University's 2023 Homecoming is on Saturday, September 30.
Can I bring my family?
Yes! Spouses, partners, and kids are more than welcome to join the celebration. You can purchase tickets for adult and teenage guests on the registration page. Childcare will be provided at the Millennium Durham Hotel for younger children who may not enjoy a more formal dinner with adults.
How much does it cost?
Registration is $60 each for alumni brothers and adult guests who will be attending the banquet dinner. Registration for undergraduate brothers is free thanks to a generous donation from a sponsor. Childcare is also provided free of charge thanks to a generous donation from a sponsor. This event is aiming to be revenue neutral: registration fees will directly fund the expenses of hosting this event. If registration exceeds expectations, any extra money raised will be directed to the Chi Delta Alumni Association's annual fund to support the Chi Delta chapter's undergraduate members.
COVID-19 precautions
Out of respect for brothers who are immunocompromised or work with immunocompromised patients, we will be following Duke University's Covid-19 protocols. Masks are REQUIRED for all individuals who are displaying respiratory infection symptoms, particularly frequent coughing or runny noses. For your comfort and the comfort of those around you, we urge attendees who are displaying symptoms to not attend. It is difficult to enjoy a banquet dinner while wearing a mask, after all. We also urge attendees to not attend if they have tested positive for Covid-19 within 48 hours of the event. We recognize that many of you will be making travel reservations that are not easily refunded, however we feel it is important to prioritize the health and safety of our brothers above all else. Additionally, Duke University highly recommends that everyone receive the latest Covid-19 vaccine booster that was approved for general use in mid-September.
What should I wear?
Business-casual or cocktail attire, but black tie optional. 50th anniversaries only happen once, so take this opportunity to get as fancy as you like!
How can I help?
First, encourage the brothers from your time at Duke to register and attend! We would love to have as many brothers as possible at this event.

Second, consider organizing some smaller-scale events for your contemporary brothers during the weekend. Durham has transformed immensely over the last 15 years, and there are a myriad of ways to spend some quality time before or after the main event. Some possibilities: get lunch at one of Durham's many fantastic restaurants, embrace nostalgia at the Boxcar Bar + Arcade, put your brains to work at one one of Durham's fantastic escape rooms, or enjoy the fresh air at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. There are lots of possibilities, and if you would like any of them included on this webpage, we are happy to include them in the Event Schedule section!
Who should I contact if I have any further questions?
