Why do hedges hold such a fascination with landscape, documentary and architectural photographers?

They might highlight boundaries, reveal disputes and divisions, provide visual privacy, conceal the world outside and hide the mysteries within.

You are invited to the launch of our new gallery photographic exhibition Close to the Hedge on Thursday 25 April, 6pm–9pm.

The exhibition is the result of an open call for photography of hedges, topiary and planted boundaries. A selection of more than 40 photographic prints will be on display, plus a digital presentation with music by Twilight Sequence.
