This is the Implementation COP.

November 8, 2025 Announcement:

We have successfully doubled the US$5 billion goal for the COP30 Brazil NbS Capital Mobilization, reaching

US$10.4 billion in capital intentions to be disbursed by 2027!

The 2025 UNFCCC COP30, hosted by Brazil in Belém, put Nature and Brazil at the center of the global climate agenda. As the world looks to Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for one-third of the carbon reductions needed by 2030, Brazil has an essential role, with 73% of the country’s GHG emissions stemming from agriculture and deforestation.

For any nature-committed investor, the country is arguably the prime market to focus on: Brazil has mature local capital markets and some of the most sophisticated agritech and NbS talent.

The COP30 Brazil NbS Capital Mobilization presented the perfect opportunity for investors to demonstrate leadership, gain recognition, and participate in the official Blue Zone agenda. Above all, it is providing the support needed to achieve their nature-positive investment ambitions.

Spearheaded by Capital for Climate and the Brazil NbS Investment Collaborative, in association with Deloitte Brazil and a growing set of  partners, the COP30 Mobilization’s goals were to:
• Identify and recognize US$5 billion in allocations and intent to invest in Brazil NbS through 2027 (e.g. in regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, restoration, and bioeconomy);
• Scale the sector to greater than one million hectares by 2030;
• Leverage the pipeline of qualified Brazil-focused funds/vehicles, project developers and companies assembled by Capital for Climate with detailed research.
We have surpassed our US$5 billion goal with US$10.4 billion of identified Brazilian and International strategic intent to invest through 2027 among 34 asset managers and financial institutions.

In companion research, we have identified at least US$6.2 billion of capital absorption capacity among 32 scalable NbS developers.

The next stage is put the money to work, facilitating connections between international and Brazilian counterparties, market experts and qualified investable opportunities.
