This project was the transformation of a California ranch house into an expansive, light-filled home that extends into the surrounding gardens. This was achieved by removing the low ceilings, exposing the beams above, and introducing large skylights along the ridge of the pitched roof. Interior walls were removed to create porosity between the living and dining areas, while oversized sliding doors were added to open the house to the adjacent garden and pool deck.
