COVID AND OTHER ILLNESS-RELATED GUIDELINES (updated April, 2024)
Be sure to familiarize yourself with CT's current COVID-19 guidelines. Please note, CKC may be canceled at any time up until and during the season if COVID cases rise and we feel it would not be safe for our staff and participants.
  • If you or your child are feeling ill, or are showing any signs of COVID symptoms, please do not send your child to the program. Contact our Camp Director, Kristi to notify us of any illness.
  • CKC is primarily held outdoors. unless there is severe weather such as a thunderstorm. If the weather forecast is calling for rain, please be sure to send your camper with a raincoat, rain boots, or even a change of clothes, as we will still try to be outside if possible.
  • Hand washing is encouraged throughout the day, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing of our supplies, restrooms, and program areas will be practiced.
  • If a child becomes ill during CKC an emergency contact will be called and asked to pick the child up asap. They will not be permitted to return to the program unless fever free for 24 hours (without medications.) For COVID-19 related symptoms, we follow CT State guidelines. If a child tests positive for COVID-19, the child will not be permitted back at CKC until they have a negative test result, and guardians of campers in that session will be notified and given any further instructions.
