The Faculty Development Committee will be offering mentoring/CV reviews for ASRA Pain Medicine Meeting attendees. Specifically, we are seeking early to mid-career physicians who are considering seeking promotions, and require career development advice and an unbiased, critical look at what they will be presenting to their institution’s Appointments & Promotions Committee.
Participation in this special event will involve emailing your CV and criteria for promotion at your institution (usually appears in faculty handbook) prior to the start of the meeting, so that your chosen “mentor” can prepare for the 30-minute interactive session. In addition, any specific questions regarding career development may be submitted at the same time.
Previous attendees have described these sessions as, “Extremely helpful and insightful”. All of the previous attendees, who completed their session evaluations, stated they enthusiastically recommend this session to friends and colleagues, and many enumerated the actionable items that were recommended, as things they looked forward to enacting. Please note that the target audience for this event is NOT fellows or recent graduates who are not engaged in an academic career, at this time.
