Mastering claims communication: strengthening communication with loss adjusters
Presenter: Andy Downer, Founder at Downer Loss Adjusting

Effective and timely communication with assessors is essential for successful claims processing. Delays or incomplete information can lead to negative claim outcomes and client dissatisfaction. In this session, we will showcase real-life case studies that highlight both successful and problematic interactions. These examples will demonstrate how communication directly influences claim results. Attendees will gain practical insights into avoiding common pitfalls and learn how to bridge the gap between client needs, broker understanding, and best practices for submitting claims. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with strategies to achieve better outcomes when submitting claims and engaging with loss adjusters.
.
New Zealand's economic climate overview
Presenter: Tony Alexander, Economist

There is a recovery underway in the NZ economy with assistance from lower interest rates and higher prices for our exports. But the world trade and economic outlook has been thrown into turmoil as a result of the tariff war initiated by President Trump. Downside risks to our growth dominate and businesses would be advised to exercise caution with regard to cash flow projections until we get far greater clarity on how the unwinding of parts of the global trading system affects us.
