Speech Contests & Competitions 🏆
Witness award winning Toastmasters deliver impressive TED talk quality speeches during the International Speech and Table Topics Competition. Whether you’re watching or participating, these contests will leave you motivated and encouraged.
Table Topics:
Expect an emphasis on Table Topics throughout this conference to help attendees build confidence in impromptu speaking as they are challenged to think on their feet and communicate effectively under pressure. By focusing on this skill, we aim to provide practical, real-world value that participants can immediately apply in their careers, volunteer roles, and personal and professional development. This is especially helpful and lucrative in business settings because impromptu speaking skills are essential for handling meetings, networking, and quick decision-making in professional environments.
*Table Topics in Toastmasters is an exercise designed to improve members' ability to think and speak spontaneously. During a Table Topics session, participants are given a surprise question or prompt, and they respond by delivering a short, impromptu speech (typically 1-2 minutes) on the spot. This helps develop confidence, quick thinking, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly in unprepared situations.
