Do I have a Problem? Examining Your Relationship with Substances
Join us beginning on April 11th
Do you find that you are turning to alcohol or another substance more frequently? Or perhaps you are unsure if you’ve been drinking or using to escape life. Are you uncertain if you have a problem with substances or not? If you’re asking yourself these or any other questions about your relationship with substances, this might be the group for you.

The purpose of this group is to foster a non-judgmental environment for people to explore their current use of substances and is designed to help you decide your future relationship with substances. This group will not diagnosis nor decide for you if you have a problem, but rather, is aimed at helping you come to your own conclusion.

Those who might benefit from this group include those who have been on the fence about whether their drinking/substance use is problematic, those who may be working with a therapist, or anyone who would like additional supportive counseling around substance use.

During this six-week group, you can expect to identify how substances have impacted your life, how your substance use has impacted the lives of others, explore the shame and social pressures around substance use, and explore recovery along with possible individual next steps.

Resources and supportive referrals will be provided for those that feel they have a problem or for anyone who needs to explore their relationship further.

To be include in this group you must meet the following criteria:
  • Be 21+ years old
  • Be willing to commit to all six weeks.
  • Willingness to explore and talk about your substance use.
  • Be physically present in New Jersey during the groups.

Those that should not sign up for this group include:
  • Those Under 21 years old.
  • Those who are not willing to share their experience and talk in a group.
  • Anyone who has already deemed their substance use to be a problem.
  • Anyone who is not willing to partake in all six groups.
