About speaker: Appointed Commissioner, Suffolk County Department of Health, February 28, 2020, Commissioner Pigott has been leading Suffolk’s health department response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has served as director of the Office of Minority Health in the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, medical director for Suffolk County Emergency Medical Services and as a physician in the Huntington opioid treatment program. He holds a BA from Brown University, a MD from Brown University Medical School, and an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Cambridge Hospital in 1997. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, a clinical assistant professor in preventive medicine at Stony Brook University and a member of an advisory committee for a School of Public Health at Stony Brook. He worked as a primary care internist and attending physician in community health centers in Brownsville, Brooklyn and Cambridge, Massachusetts, caring mainly for the underserved. Dr. Pigott is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about improving the health of underserved residents.


About speaker: Natalia serves as Director of Behavioral Medicine and Director of Wellness at the Center for Family and Community Medicine (CFCM) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. A board-certified Clinical Health Psychologist (ABCHP), they lead behavioral health consultation and advance the integration of evidence-based behavioral health into Family Medicine.
Her work centers on behavioral medicine education, clinical interviewing, and patient-centered care. She has designed and lead behavioral science curricula for residents and medical students, develop innovative training and assessment tools, and mentor learners and faculty in clinical interviewing, behavioral medicine, and psychodiagnostics.
Natalia's research and scholarship focus on depression screening in primary care, patient experiences, behavioral health integration, clinical interviewing education, and best practices in integrated care. She has also contribute nationally through leadership roles in the American Psychological Association and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
Across their clinical, educational, and scholarly work, she is committed to developing skilled clinicians, supporting faculty, and advancing patient-centered, integrated care.

Lorena Abou Asaff Yehya, MD, is a PGY-3 Family Medicine resident at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her medical degree from Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela. She was recently elected President of the GME House Staff Council by her peers across the hospital’s residency programs. An active member of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Abou Asaff has a strong interest in health equity, community outreach, medical education, and sports medicine. She is passionate about advocating for residents and serving diverse and underserved communities through compassionate, patient-centered care.

About speaker: Ani A. Bodoutchian, MD, MBA, FAAFP, DABOM, CPE, is a dual board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine with more than 25 years of experience serving patients and communities throughout Suffolk County and beyond. A graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine, she completed her Family Medicine residency at South Shore University Hospital, Northwell Health, and earned her MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her diverse career spans private practice, hospital medicine, academic medicine, medical education, and healthcare administration, with a continued commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care and improving population health.
Dr. Bodoutchian is an Associate Professor at Stony Brook Community Medical and currently serves as President-Elect of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians. A passionate physician educator, advocate, and leader, she has presented nationally and internationally on Family Medicine education, quality, healthcare advocacy, and leadership. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to advancing the field of Family Medicine and advocating for the mental, physical, and overall well-being of her patients and communities. She is committed to promoting a holistic approach to health that recognizes the important connection between physical health, mental wellness, prevention, and quality of life.

About speaker: Raymond Ebarb is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He completed his Family Medicine residency at South Shore University Hospital (formerly Southside Hospital) in Bay Shore, NY. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Hofstra/Northwell Medical School in Hempstead, NY where he conducts Medical Improv classes as part of a Humanities 4th year elective. Throughout his career he has been involved in teaching inpatient medicine to Family Medicine residents, third year clerkships to both Stony Brook & Hofstra medical students and clinical rotations for PA students from Touro College.
His Medical Improv training was at the Feinberg SOM at Northwestern University in Chicago.
He co-founded a private family medicine practice in West Sayville, New York in 1987. After 25 years, his practice affiliated with St Francis Hospital and Catholic Health service and still maintains a full schedule of patient.
Dr Ebarb has served as Medical Director for the People’s ARC of Suffolk (formerly AHRC) for 38 years, an organization dedicated to housing & treatment of special needs children & adults. He has been active in the NYSAFP for over 30 years. He is a Past President of the NYSAFP and presently serves as the NYSAFP Delegate to the AAFP.
He presently resides in Sayville, NY on Long Island with his wife Therese and raised 2 boys Theo & Ray, both of which have achieved Bachelor degrees in Theatre.
